CPP's experience dates back to the beginning of the wind engineering field. In the 1950s, Dr. Jack Cermak—the "C" in CPP—pioneered the development of the tools and methods of modern wind engineering. Today, wind tunnel testing in the field of wind engineering is based on Dr. Cermak's work.
In 1981, Dr. Cermak and Dr. Jon Peterka co-founded CP/A, the company that would become CPP with the addition of Dr. Ron Petersen in 1984.
By themselves, our three founding principals (Drs. Cermak, Peterka, and Petersen) represent more than 110 years of experience, knowledge, and innovation. CPP’s technical staff have spent years working and learning from them and have now become respected leaders in their own right.
CPP's experience summarized:
Founded in 1981 by pioneers of wind engineering
Roots dating back over 50 years to the foundations of the field
More than 2000 projects across 7 continents for clients worldwide
For over 30 years, CPP has provided wind engineering services to enhance and support building projects and sustainability around the world.
