Dr. Mick Chay, Senior Engineer
Mick joined CPP in mid 2007 in the recently opened Sydney office.
Mick completed a BE (civil) with first class honours from the University of Queensland in 1999 and a MS in civil engineering from Texas Tech University in 2001. His research at Texas Tech was focused on the physical simulation of wind loads on a cubical building during thunderstorm downbursts. He completed his PhD in 2008 at the University of Queensland. His thesis was titled, “Time Domain Simulation of Downburst Wind Loads on Guyed Transmission Line Structures.”
Mick has several years of consulting experience in structural engineering and wind tunnel testing.
