Brian Breukelman, Consultant

In 2006, Brian Breukelman joined CPP as a principal. He brings more than a decade of wind engineering experience, and a specialty in damping systems, to the company.

 

Before joining CPP, Brian spent several years at RWDI where he was involved in such notable projects as the Shanghai Stadium, the Pusan Dome in South Korea, the Trump World Tower in New York, and Sony Berlin . From 2000-2004, Brian was the General Manager of Motioneering Inc., where he participated in projects such as Taipei 101, Dublin Spire, and the Sakhalin Island Drilling Rig in Russia, where supplemental damping was added to reduce motion.

 

Brian holds a master’s degree in structural engineering. As a graduate student at the Alan G. Davenport Wind Engineering Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario, he performed research on the full scale characterization and performance of sloshing water damping systems for tall buildings.

 

Brian was named one of ENR Magazine’s Top 25 Newsmakers of the Year for 2003.
