Kurt joined CPP as a senior engineer in 2007, having spent 10 years in the thin film OEM industry. During this time, he worked on high power electronics as a mechanical engineer and engineering manager. His work resulted in patentable technologies for thermal management as well as new products that have improved the processes that make semiconductors, flat panel displays, and photovoltaic cells.
Kurt received a BA in physics from Middlebury College in 1994 and an MS in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University in 1997. His graduate research involved scale-model ventilation studies of indoor, industrial work environments.
Away from work, Kurt enjoys spending time--especially in the outdoors--with his wife and two children. He is an avid rock climber, mountain biker, and skier. He has completed numerous long distance bicycle races, ascents of Grade IV climbs and descents of numerous peaks and couloirs in the Colorado backcountry.
