WIND TURBINE NOISE ASSESSMENT

Noise is an issue that wind energy developers must consider, especially as they work with residents near the proposed site. Those who live near a wind turbine or wind farm want to know about possible additional noise from the startup or operation of the turbine(s).

 

CPP can assess the actual noise from a turbine start-up, its ongoing operational noise, the mitigating effects of vegetation or terrain, and the possible effects of nighttime inversions on turbine noise, and a comparison to background noise. Our engineers can then create a decibel map of the site and its surroundings and measure the results against any applicable noise regulations.
